Job Description:
California Builder Services (CBS) is a consulting firm that provides essential services to builders and land developers of residential subdivisions. Our primary goal is to help our customers obtain the State of California’s approval to market and sell their lands to the public. We have a team of trained professionals who specialize in the DRE approval process, and we act as facilitators for customers who are required to obtain approvals from the California Department of Real Estate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with land developers, municipal governments, school districts, utility companies, and state administrative agencies.
- Conduct thorough property research.
- Keep projects organized by copying, scanning, tabulating, filing physical letters, and using a group electronic filing system for all documents.
- Self-monitor master project inventory logs and manage multiple deadlines, follow-ups, schedules, and reviews.
- Review and analyze maps, legal documentation, and building/development plans.
- Keep up-to-date project documentation, including revision logs and electronic files.
- Play a support role to other staff as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
High School diploma required. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, and/or construction management is preferred.
Experience:
Two (2) years of directly related experience in a professional environment.
Experience working with computers in an office setting is preferred. Knowledge of real estate, escrow, title, construction, engineering, and/or mapping is highly favored.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- The ability to navigate online search engines and database functions is required.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication.
- Professional appearance and phone etiquette.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Exceptional research skills.
- The ability to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail is required.
